The tables are turning- even in Vegas. The odds are growing closer, no doubt due to the HBO 24/7 coverage and people finally seeing what Ricky Hatton is about. The kid is serious and he trains that way. He hits like a monster and it's true, Floyd has never had to deal with the power and pressure that Hatton hands out with the exception of the pressure of Jose Luis Castillo. There aren’t more committed fighters to the body than Ricky Hatton (Aside from Miguel Cotto). Hatton loves to work the body and if anyone knows how to negate speed and wear a fighter down, they know that work to the body is the key. If Hatton remains focused on wearing Mayweather’s body down early, it will become increasingly difficult for Mayweather to throw punches in bunches late. Bernard Hopkins has said in reference to Mayweather, “How do you fight like a hungry man when your refrigerator is full?”

On the other hand, offense may get the glory but Defense wins Championships. While everyone loves to hate "Money" Mayweather because of his persona and incredible shit-talking ability the guy is the BEST POUND 4 POUND CHAMPION because it’s hard to hit Mayweather. Not just because he’s quick and makes you miss, but because he gives you nothing to hit. His ability to roll his shoulder and effectively cover up is frustrating for fighters who throw a lot of punches. Floyd's hand speed is another factor because just as Floyd has never fought a Hatton, Hatton has never fought anyone like Floyd. It doesn’t take long for Mayweather to capitalize on a mistake and make his opponent pay with four and five punch combinations. Not only are those punches quick, they are very accurate and have caused many opponents to become extremely cautious before engaging Mayweather.

Bottom line is if Ricky bully's Mayweather he has a shot, but if he lets Mayweather box him he's got NO CHANCE.

You tell me who is going to get this one.
